Drew Evans is a winner. Handsome and arrogant, he makes multimillion dollar business deals and seduces New York’s most beautiful women with just a smile. He has loyal friends and an indulgent family. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed? He’ll tell you he has the flu. But we all know that’s not really true. Katherine Brooks is brilliant, beautiful and ambitious. She refuses to let anything – or anyone – derail her path to success. When Kate is hired as the new associate at Drew’s father’s investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy’s life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating. Then, just when Drew is on the cusp of having everything he wants, his overblown confidence threatens to ruin it all. Will he be able untangle his feelings of lust and tenderness, frustration and fulfillment? Will he rise to the most important challenge of his life? Can Drew Evans win at love? Tangled is not your mother’s romance novel. It is an outrageous, passionate, witty narrative about a man who knows a lot about women…just not as much as he thinks he knows. As he tells his story, Drew learns the one thing he never wanted in life, is the only thing he can’t live without.

funny Tangled by Emma Chase

This has got to be the funniest book I’ve ever read! I’m not into RomCom novels, but of course, there are always exceptions. And this is IT.

Drew Evans, the protagonist, is an excellent narrator (Yes, this book is narrated by a guy – a HAWT one, at that). He is FUNNY, witty, charming, and oh-so-sexy. I really don’t like reading about the inner thoughts and feelings of characters. I find them boring, honestly. But with Drew… I was drawn in. He’s hilarious. There were a lot of insanely funny lines in this book.

I may end up being the first man in history capable of masturbating without touching himself. Look, Mom—no hands.

Who knew funny guys could be so sexy?

Also, the way Drew told his love story is unique. His narration is easy, relaxed, and UNCENSORED. It’s like conversing with a guy friend.

Anyhoo…

Not only is Drew funny as hell, he’s also the sweetest. True, he USED to be man-whore, but after meeting Kate Brooks, he’s a changed man. He definitely grew a vagina, and the last few chapters of Tangled proved this. He will romance you with his words…

I want to fall asleep with your hair in my face every night. And I want to wake up wrapped around you every morning. I want us to spend whole weekends without any clothes on at all. I want to have clean fights and dirty makeup sex…I want to talk to you until the sun comes up, and I want to bring you cereal in bed every Sunday. I want to work long, endless hours in this office, but only if you’re here next to me.

And please… don’t get me started on the sexy scenes. They were scorching! Who knew a RomCom novel could be THAT sexy??? Drew and Kate’s sexcapades will leave you hot and bothered. Surely, you’d want to dip your head on a tub filled with ice cold water. Yes. THAT KIND OF HOT.

The secondary characters were also entertaining! I loved each and every character – flaws and all. They aren’t multi-dimentional, but like Drew, all the characters in this book have the capability to charm their way into your heart.

Really, this book was such a pleasure to read. I can’t believe I waited this long to read it! (Like I said, I am not into RomComs.) If you are into romantic comedies, be sure to pick this up. You will not be disappointed! I guarantee that!

JoAnne

My name is JoAnne and I am a sucker for fairy tales. When I was a kid, I dreamed of becoming a princess, finding my handsome prince and living happily ever after. But my parents talked me into taking up law instead. I get a strange high from reading young adult and new adult novels. I know people secretly judge me for reading books not for my age. But frankly, I don’t care. I know what makes me happy – coming-of-age stories, spine-tingling romances, fictional boyfriends, and fairy tale endings.
